What Is ThinCast Stone (TC)

ThinCast stone mantels, surrounds, hearths and overmantels use a gypsum/limestone composite material to replicate the warm color and rugged texture of real stone. They are lighter than traditional cast stone and are glass fiber reinforced for strength and durability. Products are designed to facilitate handling and installation. All ThinCast mantels are factory treated with a clear finish sealer.
ThinCast stone mantels, surrounds, hearths and overmantels are made with materials that meet the requirements for non-combustibility in accordance with ASTM-EI36. They are ideally suited to interior architectural applications which demand a zero flame spread rating and an exceptional quality installed finish. They provide the greatest possible dimensional stability. Unlike wood mantels. Thin Cast stone mantels, surrounds, hearth and overmantels will never shrink or swell.
